Outdoor Explorers: A Virtual Summer Camp
(with hands-on desert kit!)

For kids ages 5-10 (Content is targeted to this age range but kids younger or older are welcome to attend! Younger children might need more hands-on help from a caregiver.)

Join us for a week of virtual desert fun with Desert museum staff, animals, and other fellow campers! You’ll meet live animals, make and share desert arts and crafts, explore science in your daily lives, and make new discoveries around your own home, backyard, or neighborhood. Ask questions and share answers with a social cohort of campers as you interact with experts! Live online camp sessions will run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, with suggested activities to do on your own on Tuesday and Thursday.

Each registration includes a camp kit of desert materials (seeds, minerals, etc), a nature journal, activity sheets and coloring book, and other craft supplies that will guide all activities. Kits will be available for pickup at a central Tucson location the week before camp, or can be mailed to your home for an additional fee. (Deliveries only within the continental United States)

Cancellations

If cancellation is made more than 15 days from scheduled date, a $25 administrative fee will apply. No refunds can be made within 15 days. Full refund on kit/s not mailed. No refunds on kit/s already mailed.

Nonmembers:

$145 per household

Optional Campfire! From 11:30am to noon staff will stay on with campers who want more sharing and storytelling time. (Free)
