 Grusonia invicta is common in the southern 2/3 of the peninsula. It is well-named: the epithet means "invincible". | 
 Cylindropuntia lindsayi X alcahes is one of 4 hybrid chollas we found.  | 
 Cylindropuntia molesta is common in the central peninsula. This is not one of the prettier forms, but the species is well-named.  |

 The Opuntia tapona on Cerro Colorado is 100 miles north of its previously known range.  | 
 Cardón (Pachycereus pringlei) is abundant in most of the peninsula and on the mainland as well.  | 
 Pedilanthus macrocarpus is common and widespread on the peninsula, and also occurs on the mainland.  |
