“During our first visit to the Desert Museum in 1994 we agreed it was the best full spectrum natural history experience we'd ever had - and right here in our own backyard! We've supported the Museum annually since then and encourage friends and business associates to do the same.”

Moving In!
You know the feeling, you've finished unpacking, you're settling in, and you've just realized you don't have a toaster! Well, that's where we are with the new aquarium. Getting used to a new place is both exciting and challenging for the new fishes and, due to this, we've discovered a few things we need to acquire. Though all the essential elements are in place, these items will make the new tanks really feel like home.

Anyone for a good game of hide and seek?
Fishes

Fishes enjoy their privacy. By using different artificial plants in their aquariums, keepers can play peekaboo with the fishes by manipulating the density of plants in the tank.

Hold my food please

It is important for us all to have plenty of veggies in our diet, and this is true even for fish. Some might think they are icky, but our Ichthyologist loves fish and insists that they have balanced meals. Help serve up some healthy greens to our swimming friends.(10 per bag)

I see you!
Fishes

Our fish have traveled far and wide from the Gulf of California to be ambassadors of this desert sea. It would be a shame not to see them. Help us get some special window cleaning tools that reach every nook and cranny. Kent brand proscrapers are specially designed to reach these hard spots without scratching the acrylic!
