Earth Camp Commitment

Hello, my name is Jorge. My Earth Camp commitment is to compost. I will use it for my plants. Some of the food I compost are vegetables, bread, and fruit. Mulch is some thing that covers the compost to keep it moist. Compost is like soil that gives nutrients to the plants.

Hello, my name is Jorge.  My Earth Camp commitment is to compost.  I will use the compost for my plants. Some of the food I compost are vegetables, bread, and fruit.  Mulch is some thing that covers the compost to keep it moist.  Compost is like soil that gives nutrients to the plants just like soil.  This is my earth camp commitment.

Before we started Earth Camp, I thought I should just buy soil at the store for my plants.  Now, I fell that instead of buying other stuff for plants, I could just compost my food waste and yard scraps to produce soil for the plants. It does make a difference to a plant it helps it a lot if it gets compost.  If everybody can compost for their own plants, we could all save money, and grow some very healthy plants.  This is what motivated me.

One way to compost is to save all are vegetables scraps.  With all of our waste during camp, we had to check what kind of waste it was and if it is was for compost.  My friends and family could help me with the compost, and I will use the strategies I learned from Earth Camp.

One thing about compost is that it helps plants in many ways.  It has nutrients and helps them grow.  It also helps you save a lot of money and is better then fertilizer you buy at the store.

I will use a  poster that reminds me to go outside.  I will also put a note in my room that will say put compost on all the plants in the yard.
