Have you ever had a taste of the desert? Join us for the second annual food and drink festival, Sonoran Harvest: Taste the Desert! This event will focus on foods found in the Sonoran Desert and teach you how you can incorporate them into your daily life. Stand among the saguaros and sample delicious delights of the Southwest and sip on your favorite local brews. Watch as local chefs from favorite food trucks and restaurants battle to be crowned the Sonoran Harvest Champion. The best part? You get to vote for your favorite! Chefs are required to use ingredients of the desert (prickly pear, mesquite, etc.). This way, you'll really be able to taste the desert!

You can watch local pumpkin sculptor, Matt Harper, carve a pumpkin into an incredible desert animal! Matt was recently featured on Food Networks show, Halloween Wars. You can also visit with engaging animals, stargaze, listen to live music by Dos Sueños, chat with our community partners, enjoy Stingray Touch, and more! While we do have water available for purchase, we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle. We have water fountains all over grounds, and will have additional water stations.
