Both tamarix and athel are well-established in southern Sonora. Until recently athel was thought to be sterile, but is vigorously reproducing near Guaymas.

Abstract information

The abstract should be written in English (200 words) and Spanish (230 words) with the objectives, methods, and results of the oral or poster presentations clearly explained. The title should be all capital letters in bold. Author names (not in bold) begin with the last name of the first author (first letter capitalized, others lower case), followed by capitalized initials for first and middle names. Subsequent authors names will have initials first followed by last names. Spanish last names should be hyphenated. Addresses should include institution name, and mailing and email addresses. Scientific names should be in italics. Abstracts in Microsoft Word (single spaced, left justified, 2.5 cm margins in each side, Times New Roman 12 points) should be sent as attachments to the organizing committee at borderweeds@desertmuseum.org
